How To Share Data on MTN Using Transfer Code

The first step is to choose either of these methods below. You can choose to dial *131*2*1# and send it, or text REG to 131; This will register your sim for the MTN Data Share. Take note that you will receive a unique security PIN
The second step is changing the pin. You need to change your pin to a unique one. You are required to change the PIN MTN system generated for you. You are to change it to a new PIN, which you can easily remember.
TO change the MTN Data share pin, simply dial *131*2*5# or text Change OLD PIN NEW PIN NEW PIN to 131. E.g Change 0000 1234 to 131. Where 0000 is old PIN and 1234 is your new PIN. (Beware that you can choose any other numbers apart from 1234 used as an example here)
After changing the PIN, you will need to add beneficiaries to your MTN shared Data Bundle account. You can add beneficiaries through USSD menu.
Simply dial *131*2*3# or SMS Add to 131. You can add up to 5 beneficiaries.
Once you have added beneficiaries (Beneficiaries are numbers who you want to share your data with). Once you have successfully added beneficiaries (minimum is 5), you (the sponsor) will be able to share your available data bundle among the added beneficiaries by sending the keyword Share to 131 or simply dial USSD code *131*2*4#.
