LATEST discovery we have discovered is this, MTN Nigeria has just secretly reviewed their Tariff Plans. If you remember vividly, you will recall that last year, the telecommunication giant, MTN introduced two call tariff plans, which is called the MTN Xtra Pro and Xtra Special tariff plan.

Well, for those who were not aware, MTN Xtra Pro tariff plan was advised and called the cheapest call tariff plan ever introduced by MTN.

You should be aware that all active subscribers on the MTN Xtra Pro have the ability to make both off-net and on-net calls within the country at a flat rate of 11 kobo per seconds, which is N6 Naira, 60 Kobo per Minute, however, this is only possible once they have deducted of N5 from your account that day. This N5 deduction fee is called an access charge. With this call rate, it is believed that the MTN Xtra Pro tariff plan, is the cheapest call tariff plan on the network.

Unfortunately and to our dismay, we discovered that MTN Nigeria has secretly eliminated this call tariff plan from its list of tariff plans, which by implication means the call tariff plan will no longer available for migration, in case you are still interested in migrating to it.

According to a reliable source from the company, the migration into MTN XtraPro and MTN TruTalk has been discontinued since the 5th of April, 2017. SO if you had tried migrating to any of these plans within the past few months, just know that it has been discontinued by the network secretly.

Customers can only migrate into the following plans which are listed below:

While all users of the MTN network won’t be able to migrate to any of the below tariff plans, however, customers on these plans will be able to migrate out of these plans to other available tariff plans, BUT CAN’T migrate back.
MTN TruTalk (Old)
MTN BetaTalk(Old Package)
MTN SuperSaver
MTN SmoothTalk
MTN iPulse
MTN Zone

Warning

Just like I disclosed above, active subscribers on any of these MTN Tariff plans above will remain on the plan, but will not be allowed to migrate back into the plan(s) after they have successfully migrated out.

Prove of Secret Deletion of These Tariffs

ON or before the 5th of April, 2017, when you decide to migrate to the MTN Xtra Pro tariff plan, the code to dial for migrating is *401#, but if you choose to dial the code and hope to migrate to the Xtras Pro plan, you will get a message from the network, telling you that you are already existing MTN Pulse tariff plan, as well as giving you the correct MTN Pulse menu code to dial, which is *406#.
