What are the top smartphones in the first quarter of 2017? This details was released by Antutu, and it’s accurate. One thing is certain. We all want the best of everything in life, and this includes the fastest smartphones.
Surprising, when going through this list, i discovered that the World No. 1 fastest Smartphone isn’t produced by iPhone Apple, or by Samsung, and the question asked is this: Which smartphone is the world fastest in 2017?

Honestly, things became seriously interesting ever since Antutu went cross-platform and several devices across major ecosystems became comparable in terms of speed and fastness. A list which was released last year didn’t surprise anyone, as the iPhone 6s Plus single handedly beat every Android phone ever produced, making it to the number one spot as the fastest smartphone on Planet earth.

However, things have really changed, and all thanks goes to Samsung and Xiaomi, as one of the world richest company, Apple which is producing the iPhone, has lost that position and it’s now relegated to the third position in the list of the world fastest smartphones.
The new list which was compiled by Antutu shows that this position has been taken over, NOT by Samsung, but by Xiaomi’s, which is followed by Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge.
Xiaomi Mi 5
The Xiaomi’s Mi5 and Samsung Galaxy s7 Edge are only a tad faster that Apple’s most recent device (iPhone 6).
The Xiaomi Mi 5 scores 136865 points to take the first position as the world fastest smartphones,
Followed by the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge, which has 234559 points in the second place and Apple iPhone 6S has 133781 points to stay in the third position.
Taking over the position from iphone, we’ll discover that the Xiaomi Mi 5 and Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge both have something in common, and that is, they are both powered by the same processor.
There is another possibility that the 5-inch Xiaomi flagship is able to hit the first position due to its smaller screen and smaller 1080p resolution. However, since the Samsung Galaxy has a larger screen and many more pixels (2K resolution) to process, relaying it back to 2nd position in this list.
Top 10 Fastest Smartphones
Their biggest breakout to making it to the fastest smartphones in the world for 2016, is majorly because of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820, which is used by these devices. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 may be the fastest processor in the world right now. Though the much hyped Huawei Mate 8 only manages 91157 points to have the fourth position.
But there is going to be a storm which is coming, and am sure that the managment of Xiaomi Mi5 and Samsung are getting prepared. Since all we know about the “soon to be introduced” iphone 7 is just specs and no confirmation.
We are certain of one thing, and that is, the upcoming iPhone 7 will sport a new A10 processor, and it’s speculated that the iPhone 7 may make it to the No.1 spot of the World fastest Smartphones.
